Meet Our Full Time Missionary

SAY HELLO TO SHARON

Sharon’s whole life, she wanted to do something meaningful for God. In 2017, after a serious accident landed her in the hospital, she felt a clear calling to pursue missionary work.. Although life delayed this calling, Sharon finally had the opportunity to step into it.

In 2022, Sharon and her family moved from South Africa to the United States. Over the past two years, God has abundantly blessed them. In October, she went on a six-day mission trip to Guatemala with our ministry, where she fell in love with the people and children. Their love deeply touched her, and Sharon felt a strong desire to stay and serve.

After praying for guidance, God confirmed Guatemala as the place for her full-time missionary work. With gratitude, Sharon accepted this calling.

Sharon believes she has the tools, experience, and calling to make a difference in Guatemala. Her goal is to support, encourage, and motivate them while showing God’s love and presence in their lives. With His guidance, she is excited to be a vessel for His work and to touch hearts, showing people the love, wisdom, and care of a God who does everything for His people.

Sharon plans on moving to Guatemala full-time in February 2025.

Sharon’s role in Guatemala will include:

  • House Mom Assistant: Supporting orphanage house moms by giving them breaks and staying with children in their rooms weekly.

  • Liaison Role: Partnering with our founder, Kyle Ewald to bridge communication between the Guatemala team and the U.S. home team.

  • Church Support: Visiting churches in the mountains to ensure they are loved and supported.

  • Orphanage Collaboration: Visiting regional orphanages to gain insights and improve policies at the home orphanage.

  • Mission Team Assistance: Helping facilitate mission teams visiting the orphanage.

  • Child and Team Support: Spending quality time with children and staff to foster connection and encouragement.

Sharon will be spiritually covered by The Forgotten People ministry and her U.S. home church, the MET Church.
