The Mission House

Our prayer is to complete the top section of the mission house, which will cost approximately $27,000. This space will allow visiting pastors, business owners, and donors to stay on site, and will also serve as emergency housing for local families when needed. We want to be very clear that we are not taking any funds from the orphanage budget for this project. Instead, we are believing to raise these funds separately.

Children’s Home Project

As we prepare for new land, we are planning to build a small village of tiny homes designed to feel like real family environments. Each home will house no more than 10 children along with one dedicated house mom. We firmly believe it is healthiest for children to grow up in a smaller, nurturing home setting rather than a large dormitory style environment. Each of these homes is expected to cost an average of $32,000 to build.

We are currently inviting partners to help fund these homes. While we are not building just yet, we are preparing the funding now so we are ready when the time comes. You can give now or commit to give when we move forward.

Orphanage Renewal legal fees

Every two years, the CNA, Guatemala’s National Adoption Council that oversees and regulates child protection and adoption processes, requires us to renew our official paperwork.

We are currently training our social workers to handle each step internally, but due to timing, we need to engage our attorneys to assist with this renewal cycle. What can normally take over a year to complete can often be processed in just a few weeks to a month with legal support.

Because we are still a newer orphanage, we are continuing to learn the full legal process and are grateful to lean on our lawyers for additional guidance and support during this season.
